Permitted use

You may use the public tools for lawful personal, educational, editorial, professional, and commercial text work. You may copy or download results produced from material you are entitled to use, subject to the rights that already apply to the source material.

Responsible use

You must not use Words Calculator to:

• break a law, court order, contract, or another person's rights;
• submit a private URL, credential, document, or text you lack authority to process;
• probe internal networks, bypass access controls, evade robots rules, or use the webpage tool as an open proxy;
• upload malicious, encrypted, intentionally malformed, or deceptive files;
• overload endpoints, defeat rate limits, automate abusive traffic, or interfere with other users;
• misrepresent a calculated estimate as an official certification or guaranteed result; or
• copy or republish third-party content merely because a tool can extract or transform it.

Your text, files, and URLs

You remain responsible for the content you enter or select and for having a lawful basis to use it. Using a tool does not transfer ownership of your material to Words Calculator. It also does not grant you copyright, privacy, publicity, database, confidentiality, or republication rights in material owned by somebody else.

Local text and document tools process content in the browser. The Web Page Word Counter sends the public URL and options you submit to a bounded server retriever. Review the Privacy Policy before using any networked workflow with sensitive information.

Counts, transformations, and estimates

Exact outputs follow the implemented and versioned rules, but different products can define words, characters, sentences, document regions, and pagination differently. Reading time, speaking time, handwriting time, readability, similarity, word density, and pages are planning evidence, not guarantees. Source extraction can omit or reorder content. Use the named destination's own total when a formal requirement says that destination controls.

No professional or academic certification

The service does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, academic, accessibility, publishing, employment, or search-ranking advice. It does not certify originality, authorship, plagiarism status, compliance, reading ability, grade suitability, or eligibility. A teacher, editor, lawyer, accessibility specialist, platform, or other appropriate authority should review high-stakes work.

Automated access and service limits

Ordinary interactive use is welcome. Server-backed requests are subject to size, type, time, destination, robots, and rate limits. We may block abusive automation, unsafe destinations, unavailable dependencies, or requests that threaten reliability. Permission to index public pages for search does not create permission to send high-volume analysis requests to the application endpoints.

Site content and intellectual property

The site's original interface, explanatory copy, branding, curated data, calculation implementation, and documentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property rules. You may link to public pages and use the tools normally. You may not falsely claim ownership, remove notices, clone the service for deceptive distribution, or use the Words Calculator identity to imply endorsement.

External services and links

The site may link to standards, platform documentation, Google policy pages, and other primary sources. Those destinations are controlled by their operators and can change without notice. Google Fonts and hosting infrastructure also follow their own terms and privacy practices. External links are provided for verification or context, not as a guarantee or endorsement of every statement on the destination site.

Availability and changes

We may correct, update, suspend, or remove a feature to improve accuracy, security, legal compliance, hosting compatibility, or maintainability. Local tools may continue to work when a server feature is unavailable, but uninterrupted access is not promised. Keep your own copy of important documents and reports.

Warranty and liability limits

The service is provided on an “as available” basis as a practical aid. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Words Calculator makes no warranty that every output will be error-free, complete, continuously available, or accepted by a third party. You are responsible for reviewing an output before relying on, submitting, publishing, or paying based on it. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Enforcement

Access may be limited when a request appears unlawful, unsafe, abusive, technically harmful, or inconsistent with these terms. A limitation can be applied without preserving submitted content. If you believe a block is mistaken, send the time, tool, and visible error code without sending confidential text.

Changes to these terms

These terms were reviewed on July 26, 2026. Material revisions will appear on this page with an updated review date. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from that point forward, subject to applicable law.
