Cookie and Browser Storage Policy
Words Calculator uses limited browser storage for requested features. The Google tag starts with Analytics storage denied; optional Analytics cookies begin only after permission, and advertising code is not currently active.

Optional Analytics is off until you give permission. Ignore keeps it off, Customize lets you choose it directly, and Accept cookies enables every optional service currently in use. No Google advertising code or advertising cookies are active.
Cookies and browser storage are different
A cookie is a small value attached to web requests for a domain. Local storage and session storage stay in a browser profile and are accessed by page scripts. Words Calculator currently relies on local and session storage for product behavior rather than deliberately setting its own advertising cookies. Google Analytics can set first-party cookies only after Analytics permission. Hosting and security infrastructure may still use strictly necessary delivery mechanisms outside the application code.

- Keeps the current draft in session storage so a refresh in the same tab is less likely to lose work.
- Remembered drafts
- Uses local storage only after you enable a visible remember option.
- Tool preferences
- May remember settings such as an editor target or selected preferences on the same device.
- Consent choice
- Stores whether Analytics was accepted or declined, the policy version, and the time of the choice so the site can respect it on later visits.
- Google Analytics cookies
- After Analytics permission, Google Analytics can set identifiers such as
_gaand_ga_DBNM9QBBP3to distinguish browsers and sessions. They are not created by our integration before permission.
How long storage lasts
Session storage normally ends when the tab or browser session closes. Local storage remains until a tool removes it, you clear site data, the browser evicts it, or the browser profile is deleted. Google documents a default expiration of up to two years for its principal GA4 identifier cookies, with renewal when data is sent. Browser settings and Google configuration can shorten that period. Words Calculator does not synchronize local preferences to an account.
How to control or remove it
Open Cookie settings in the footer to change Analytics permission at any time. Withdrawing permission sends a denied consent update, stops full Analytics measurement, and attempts to remove the known first-party Analytics cookies. Limited cookieless consent signals can continue. You can also turn off remembered drafts, use a tool's Clear command, or remove all Words Calculator data through browser privacy settings. Blocking storage can prevent preference persistence and recovery, but core local calculations should continue to work.
Google Fonts and network requests
A Google Font preview can load a stylesheet or font file from Google when you open the font browser, select a family, or restore formatted content that already uses one. A formatted export can ask our font endpoint for the chosen family, weight, and style so the font can be embedded. These requests do not contain your document wording. Google's delivery service receives ordinary network data as described in its Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
Google Analytics
The global integration uses Google Analytics 4 measurement ID G-DBNM9QBBP3. The Google tag loads on each page after Consent Mode v2 defaults are set. Before permission, Analytics storage is denied and Google can receive limited cookieless signals such as the consent state and ordinary technical request information. After permission, Analytics cookies and full measurement can cover page URLs, referrer, approximate location, browser and device information, sessions, and interactions needed to understand site use. Draft text, uploaded documents, cleaned output, comparison text, and converter input are not sent as Analytics event content by our integration.
The integration queues denied defaults before the Google configuration command and updates all four Consent Mode v2 signals after your choice. Ignoring optional cookies does not reduce access to the tools.
Advertising status and future integrations
No advertising script, Google AdSense tag, personalized-ad profile, or advertising cookie is active. The consent interface marks Advertising as not in use. Before advertising is introduced, we will update this policy and the Privacy Policy, identify the providers and purposes, bump the consent version, and ask visitors again.
Google requires publishers serving ads in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland to use a Google-certified consent management platform where that rule applies. The current custom consent panel is not presented as an AdSense-certified CMP and will not be used as a substitute for one.
