AI and Automated Assistance Policy
The public tools use inspectable rules and formulas. Ordinary drafts and locally opened documents are not sent to a generative-AI model for analysis.
Reviewed
Word counting, character analysis, readability, sorting, cleanup, comparison, case conversion, number wording, random selection, and document extraction are deterministic software workflows. They do not ask a chatbot to judge or rewrite your text.
What the public tools use
Results come from Unicode-aware segmentation, documented formulas, parser rules, curated data, selected options, and deterministic transformations. The same accepted input and settings are intended to produce the same result, apart from explicitly random modes. Estimates disclose their assumptions instead of presenting a model's opinion as a measurement.
What happens to user content
Ordinary text and document analysis run in the browser. That content is not submitted to an AI provider or used by Words Calculator as model-training material. The Web Page Word Counter sends only the public URL and extraction options to our server, which uses programmed retrieval and parsing rather than a generative model. Automated assistance in development
Automated systems may help organize research, draft or revise wording, implement code, propose tests, identify inconsistencies, and review interface quality. Assistance is an editing and engineering aid, not an authority. A generated claim must still match the working feature and a generated implementation must pass the project's applicable checks.
Editorial safeguards
- Primary documentation is used for current platform and policy claims.
- Tool descriptions are checked against real controls and outputs.
- Limitations and conflicting definitions are stated explicitly.
- Spelling, links, metadata, structured data, and heading hierarchy are reviewed.
- Near-duplicate pages and scaled filler are not an acceptable publishing strategy.
No synthetic authority
We do not invent an author biography, professional qualification, customer quotation, review score, survey, benchmark, research finding, award, partnership, first-hand event, or product usage number. Automated wording is not labeled as expert advice, and a generated summary does not replace a platform's current primary documentation.
No hidden AI scoring
Readability, similarity, keyword frequency, vocabulary, and extraction confidence are measurements tied to visible rules. They are not concealed AI quality, plagiarism, authorship, ranking, or intent scores. The site does not claim to detect whether a passage was written by a person or a machine.
Future generative features
If a generative feature is introduced, it will be clearly labeled before use. The interface and Privacy Policy will identify what data leaves the device, the provider or category of provider, the purpose, retention information available to us, and whether a user can continue with a deterministic alternative. Generative processing will not silently replace an existing calculated result.
Quality and correction
Automated assistance can make mistakes, miss context, or reproduce an outdated assumption. The Editorial Policy describes our evidence and correction workflow. Report a specific issue to wordscalculator@gmail.com with the smallest safe example needed to verify it.
